How to start the game offline?
When I start the game via Steam, I only get the message that the server is not available. No game menu or anything else. Is there no possibility to start/play the game offline?

The game is essentially offline when you first load it up, it's just that the online notifications at the top always pop up. Press Esc, or if your using a gamepad press start. You can navigate (It's a lot easier using just the keyboard) to "My Games" and "Practice Offline" to play a match against the AI, "Career" to play a series of matches, or "Challenges" for solo challenges to test yourself.

You can also go to "My Profile" and change the game type that you want to play in "Practice Offline" although for some reason it doesn't affect free play which is always in 8-ball.

Thanks a lot for your hints. Unfortunately the navigation doesn't pop up when I press Esc on keyboard or START on the gamepad. It seems to be a bug in combination with my system (Win7, AMD HD7750). Too bad ...

Yeah I've read someone else have a bug too. I'm also on windows 7 and I have gtx560ti so your system seems fine. Hopefully it gets fixed cause that's pretty game breaking.

I just posted a thread for the same thing. and NO, pushing buttons (escape/start) or otherwise does not advance you to the games menu. It stays stuck on the screen.

Are you stuck on the loading screen? That being the screen with the stationary image that says Pure Pool on it, or do you advance to the pool table and you can mess around in free play but just can't access the menu? I sometimes get stuck on the loading screen when loading the game, but it doesn't happen to me all the time. If it's happening all the time then that is a serious game breaking issue.

ALT-TAB out and back in. Don't know why it works, but it does.
