Pure Pool vs. Hustle Kings
I'm a big fan of Hustle Kings (previous VooFoo's pool videogame) and thats the main reason i bought this game. Pure Pool is good, but... Compare to Hustle Kings, it seems like Pure Pool is lack of some features. Features like multiple ways to adjust the power of your strike (no power bar for shots), the lack of Cue Ball diagram to twist it, the lack of the option to adjust or switch off the auxiliary line, the lack of chalk, the lack of proper overhead camera... Pure Pool doesnt have alot of small features from Hustle Kings and it's really sad. Heres screenshot of the Hustle Kings interface with some of these options.

I still like Poor Pool, it has great physics in my opinion. But i hope some of these features will come back in future updates

Haven't played Hustle Kings myself, but this game clearly goes for a more realistic pool simulation than other games. I prefer that there isn't a power bar as the way you take shots in this game feels much closer to real pool than any other game I've played. I feel the same way about the overhead camera too, just makes it feel much more like playing real pool and I actually prefer it this way. You still have a pretty high view of the table when you enter walk mode.

Also you can turn off the lines by going to "My Profile" and changing the skill level to "Master". There's updates and feature additions to come based on what the devs have said so hopefully they'll be even more we can customise soon.

Love Hustle Kings! I love Pure Pool, but think it should be publicly aknowledged by the devs that it is still obviously in early access! Lmao- there is a vast presence of a dark void here... some things are definitely missing, and I only think it's right the devs need to let us in on what's really going on here. We need a higher priority online mode, controlls need finalized, inversion of x-axis doesn't fix the mirror-motion (ugh) while placing cue ball, we need more areas/venues to unlock, we all know taking the inglish and cue angle just right and using correct power on the shot can make the cue ball jump (and when done right, it won't always leave the table), there is a lot of buzz about what the game is missing.... lots of upset people crying about how the game is a money-grab for the publisher, lots of people spazzing for their 12 bucks back... I just feel like, Hustle Kings had come a long way when it got big on PS3, it would only make sense that over the next year or two, this game should eventually really come into it's form and finally fit the hype they've generated for it!

+EDIT+
...it's all my way of saying, "I whole-heartedly agree with the OP!"

As for pool nation, I'll still play it, but I was even hoping Steam and new-gen consoles could share a new Hustle Kings (no lie, I bought this because I saw it is developed by VooFoo!), and I still hold higher expectations on what this game will eventually be. It isn't impossible to see the UI, features, and online facilitation vastly improved in a very meaningful way. PS4 and XB1's inclusions as release platforms only adds to the *promising* aspect, IMO.
