Weapon added to (non-existant) 4th weapon slot, can't unequip, can't sell

I had 3 weapon slots, filled with a deck, an SMG, and an AR.
I picked up a pistol during the drug pit mission. it didn't go to my stash, and it doesn't show up on my equipment screen.

But in combat, a 4th weapon shows up--that pistol. I can only see it during combat and I can't unequip or sell it. I still only have 3 weapon slots (as I should)...

EDIT: And then much later at an equip screen, the pistol shows up in one of my 3 weapon slots and my SMG is gone. (Note that this wasn't at the NEXT equip screen, but maybe 3 equip screens later.)

(Unequipping it showed an empty slot, but when the mission started now I show my normal 3 weapons again--the SMG, AR, and cyberdeck.)

Easy solution I've pointed out before that works for me:

1) Access your storage
2) Unequip everything
3) Exit storage
4) Access your storage again
5) Weapon/Drone/Deck/Bolt should be visible
6) Either remove it or leave it

Ever since 2.0.7 (I think), you automatically pick up a fourth weapon. I also start the game with an Ares pistol that I never choose.

Even with a hidden weapon, it can still be used on runs as they're equiped.

Hmm, so I unequipped it when it showed up on my weapons screen, but its still there as a 4th weapon... bugged.

Oh, it's not a permanent solution. You have to do this all the time. By the way, did you remove *everything* in your equipment, exit and then go back into your storage?

I had this happen too, I think it's a bug in the second weapon slot you get for a level 4 ranged weapon skill. Possibly a conflict with other equipment slots you get for things like decking and drones.
