Beta Instructions
We have begun public beta testing for the next update. This is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, but if you'd like to try out the latest and greatest before it's available to the rest of the world, here's how you can participate:
  • Go to Steam Library
  • Right click on Shadowrun Returns
  • Select Properties
  • Select Betas
  • Then a drop down says: "Select the beta you would like to opt into"
  • Choose: Public Beta
You should see some 'updating' traffic as Steam fetches new files for Shadowrun Returns.
If you ever want to opt out of the Public Beta and return to the normal public build that everyone else has, you can repeat the process above and choose NONE from the drop down list.

New Features, Improvements
  • Improved difficulty level explanation
  • Added weapon icons to Drone weapons’ item sheets
  • Tweaked balance on a few end game melee weapons

Bug Fixes
  • Removed duplicate music track files that were unplayable in the Steam Music Library
  • Resolved issue that prevented RAIN AI from being loaded
    • This resolves NPCs (Non Combatant AI) being unable to wander
    • This resolves Laser IC from being unable to use charging programs
    • This resolves some boss AIs from executing specific actions when engaged
    • This resolves other potential minor AI issues
  • Resolved issue that prevented text files being exported for Dragonfall Director's Cut content pack for fan localization

Bug Fixes: Dragonfall Campaign
  • Resolved issue that prevented a conversation from starting in The Harfeld Manor Run mission
  • Resolved edge case issue that caused all hostile actors in the Lockdown mission to have their turn skipped
  • Resolved issue that caused certain actors to not summon Spirits in the Bloodlines mission
  • Resolved edge case issue that caused loaned weapons to be lost in the Feuerstelle mission
  • Resolved issue that caused item pickup icons to appear incorrectly in the MKVI mission

I can't understand why moving next above tile of characters during combat is so hard.. This disturb me to play a game. I think if you change mouse clicking select a tile, not a character, this problem will solved easily.

This isn't a new bug in 2.0.9, but I'm still seeing a problem that first appeared in 2.0.8 where the game will sometimes freeze for about 30 seconds after killing a Sentry or Sparky IC. I can sometimes make it happen in (e.g.) the Earwig executive door node when killing the IC. The message I see in the console log looks like this:

EXCEPTION: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object * FxGameplayAction.FxStart () * FxSequence.StartNextScript () * FxSequence.FxComplete (.FxScript completeScript) * UnityEngine.GameObject:SendMessage(String, Object) * FxDelay:Update() [WARN] matrix_rain [FxSnapToChild] cannot snap to child named Weather Effects when unparented=False

(The last line is repeated several times)

After a long pause, I see a message like this (the 180 can change):
MAIN [ERROR] stall detect in PLAYERREADY TD active actors:180=. 180 Action Timeout (R) (A)

I captured a dump log, let me know if that would be helpful.

Sigh still no accurate percentage chance on hit showing up. :harveyskeptic:
Reknown Issue: Impossible to fan-translate / No official translation planned on ANY language.
Any chance we can get rebindable keyboard shortcuts? or at least an ini.file to mess with to get the keyboard shortcuts that we want instead of the keyboard shortcuts designed by someone high on bath salts?.

Please follow the link below to submit a bug report with your dump information, and steps that you took to reproduce/encounter this issue.

Our testers have not been able to reproduce this issue in house. If you encounter any combat situations that show a toHit or accuracy discrepancy beyond 1% please open a bug report with the link below, that contains information on weapon used, level encountered, and character stats.

The 1% difference seen in the debug dice is due to the math used to calculate hit/miss being 0 based, while the UI shown to the Player as the shot accuracy is 1 based.

I've noticed that I never get the adept power Pain Resistance early enough for the Bloodline mission. I need to complete one Alice fund run to get the first tier or two of spells, and I need to complete three to unlock the last which contain it. Actually, I had to go so far as to pay the fee first.
