Is there a reason why he likes to walk among people so much?
He says that power lies within making other people do your stuff for you, yet he comes personally to deal with the bug situation and then he personally comes to recruit you to his team after the Feuerschwinge situation. Does he do it for lolz or to check whether people are laughing at him behind his back or not?
Seems like a cool dude though, a little full of himself but since he owns like half the world it's understandable. I'm not very well versed in pen and paper shadowrun lore though so if someone could elaborate on him please?

He's used to show the gravity of the situation. If Lofwyr is making in appearance, the stakes must be high-globally high.

Something of note- Brackhaus shows up in DMS not as a representative of S-K, but as a representitive of Lofwyr. For whatever reason, he has the knowledge to produce Aegis, but doesn't want his company to be officially involved...

Although that raises some question. If Lofwyr knew about the plan to exterminate dragons he could resolve the issue in other ways instead of relying on a runner team which can turn on him.
S-K Kill teams, Thor Shots, etc.

Unless he only knew about Feuerschwinge but not about the plague...

And most people would disagree that Lofwyr is a "cool dude". Micromanaging, power hungry jackass is more like it, even among dragons.
