Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut

Frustrated about Glory's quest. Spoilers from the entire game.
This sort of bugs me because I love Dragonfall and the Director's cut would have been the best thing to come out this year if not for Original Sin, personal opinion of course!

At any rate Glory's quest is fantastic and I do love the creepy cultist house however I find Harrow's fate very unsatisfying. First time I went through the quest on my decker I changed my mind half way through the quest, saved everyone and redeemed the spirit simply so I wouldn't have to shoot Marta.

I just completed my second playthough as a mage and this time I dug my feet in and decided Harrow deserved a bullet in his face even if a few cultists had to pay the price in the process. Most of them are not all that innocent after all but it sort of bugged me how it all ended.

Apparently somehow Glory lose her amulet when she kills the demon that is protecting Harrow and is starting to show more and more signs of getting a little magic back and once again getting infernal powers from the adversary and if you try to challenge her over it she will be very dismissive about it.

Even if she did stay with the party at the end she does say she is more or less slowly getting her magic back and it's pretty obvious something is wrong with her and it almost seems like she is reversing back to the mindset she had when she was in the cult.

It just bothers me that the only way to put Harrow down is to let Glory get corrupted in the process. Even if all the cultists were tricked into becoming what they were I still wanted to hold him responsible for what happened there over the years and it just seems like it's impossible to do so. I might be missing something about Shadowrun lore here but Glory just losing her protective neckless somehow just doesn't make sense to me, I can't imagine even while killing the demon that she wanted to become like that again.

Thats the entire point of the quest really. Do you help her redeem herself by putting the well being of innocent children over revenge?

It doesn't mean Harrow gets away. You cut him off from his power, and Glory certainly will go after him after the dragon is dealt with.

Problem is, I don't think killing Harrow has to be only about revenge. It could also actually be about stopping a horrible cult that's been ruining children's lives for years. Letting Harrow go doesn't put a stop to it since he could start it up again. It might just be the best change we were ever going to get to make sure a dangerous man is no longer around and not being able to take it strings!

In some ways I feel taking him down with a few sacrifices is no different then any other morally grey action a shadowrunner has to do but I suppose the mission was more about letting her find redemption then stopping the cult.
Its not a 'few sacrifices.' Everyone in the building dies just so you can kill Harrow. And you don't purify the shrine which leaves all those kids corrupted even if they did manage to get out.

Its deciding that the ends justify the means. Which is exactly how she was under Harrow. Thats is why it feels like she is backsliding. Because she is.

Its not meant to be an easy choice. I've done it both ways on my two playthroughs and I can see it from either point of view.

how do you save Marta?

I think you need to break in the room with the painting (The one with cultists) and take her ring, then show the ring to Marta. Also, I think you need to avoid offending her beliefs, "Sorry to judge you" and things like that. :)

You can save Marta through the correct conversation choices. You don't need the ring. Just talking to her, focusing on her love for the children , following the arguements that challenge whatever's left of her reason without insulting her beliefs will do the trick. ...whether it's ultimately worth saving her or not is up to you.
