Open World
Does Dragonfall have more of an open world feel to it? The original campaign was very linear story without much choice. Are there more Matrix runs in Dragonfall?

Open World isn't a term I'd use. But its not linear. And being a Decker is very highly reccomended.

Dragonfall is more open than Dead Man's Switch, although it isn't completely open. You generally have several possible missions to choose from at any given time (and some of them may fall away if you leave them too long). The Matrix also plays a bigger role in the game, enough so that a decker is actually a good PC option.

I've not played it myself, but the Shadowrun Unlimited user-generated content is supposed to be more sandbox-ish.

Dragonfall does not have Open World Level Design.

The game approaches Level Design more in the fashion of how Bioware typically deals with it than Bethesda. The reason for this is simple - Open World Level Design does not lend itself easily to a strong narrative focus. Open World games are much more suited for games built for exploration and experimentation. This is usually why when it comes right down to it, Bioware makes stronger stories with stronger characters. But Bethesda really knows how to make a living world that just begs to be explored. The Witcher 3 and Dragon Age 3 might change these design philosophies, though.

Dragonfall is a lot like Mass Effect in general. It's just that Mass Effect presents things a lot differently. The foundations of Level Design are exactly the same, though.

It's not open world. It's hub worlds.
