Smartlink and weapon skills

In Deadman's Switch, if you used Smartlink weapons I believe that there were limitations on the weapon skills/abilities that you could use and the weapon description warned you about this. However, I don't see any warning in Dragonfall. Do those limitations still exist or can you use Smartlink weapons and all of your abilities. Thanks.

In Dragonfall there is no downside to using smartlink weapons (besides them costing a fair bit more than the non-smartlink versions). The only limitation is having a datajack to equip and use them, and by extension any essence lost from having had the datajack implanted.
Basically if you can afford and equip them, they have increased chance to hit vs non smartlink weapons, and no drawbacks.

I think you're actully thinking of revolvers.

They generaly do more damage, but have a limit on what skills you can use with them; generaly the ones doing with quick-refire rate like chain-shot.
