Anyone else have a hard time with this encounter? The whole mechanic with Harrow coming back every turn to heal the spirit + the clones seems a little over the top. I've breezed through the game til this point.

I had no problem on my first playthrough as a mage, being able to toss lightning bolt and blind spells helped a lot with crowd control. When I tried the same thing again as a combat decker...well, it was painful. All I can say is that if you've been holding on to a bunch of combat drugs and good grenades, this is the point to use them.

I hate to be one of those "I didn't have a problem" guys, but...

The best thing you can do is remember that two of the clones are flimsy as paper and die in one hit. Use AoEs and CC on Harrow until you can deal with him. Have Glory strip the armor off of the real Boss monster. Have lots of armor, makes the fight easy as hell.

What Matt said. This is the place to use your jazz and cram to burst that fiend down really fast. Done correctly, Harrow is less than a nuisance.

Cover from barriers works well to reduce the boss's damage to nearly nil.

I only had problems with it the first time because i didn't know what to expect, after that its a breeze. Use your weaker people to aoe/shoot down the clones (the clones dont' throw major damaging spells, so the one that smacks you hard, thats the real one, the clones just throw minor debuf stuff). Once you find the real one offload on it with everything. Once Harrow shows up, kill him then return back to the main foe. I only had problems the first time because Harrow heals the spirit, so i learned that once he appears kill him first so you won't have the spirit healed back up.

I hated doing it but I enabled God mode :( The fight was just way too frustrating otherwise and I didn't see myself winning it straight up.

The constant teleporting was too much for my melee only toon to overcome.

/hangs head in shame

Adept or just melee samurai?

Melee samurai

Your throwing should rather easily be high enough to win the fight with shurikens.

I had ZERO range going into that fight except Glory's handgun.

That's a decent problem, but with you on the boss and draining harrow's AP you should've had a good chance. A pure melee character with high strength should be able to dish out some pretty decent hurt. You should be cybered up to the nines, too, with only one weapon.

Just came up against this for the first time, with my katana-wielding Adept. Exactly the same issue as Smiley Blight - I'm spending the entire battle running around trying to keep on top of Harrow, while the real Spirit drains me and Glory of med-kits and heal cooldowns.
Harebrained --- love your game, but this one's a balance fail.
If the hit percentages quoted actually bore out, I MIGHT be able to make some headway, but when Glory has 60-70% to hit, misses 3 times in a row, and my katana-chick has to waste all 3 attacks taking out Harrow then getting nailed for a 2x crit, 30 HP attack, it's just repetitive and depressing. Oh yeah - my concussion grenades (which I prefer) don't take any AP off the Spirit OR Harrow! WTF?? It's probably just my build (close-combat, concussion grenades, no cyber or drugs on the run), but I've got exactly the wrong setup to make it through this run, and sadly I didn't retain a saved game prior to going on the run, so...bugger.

Okay - how do I get God-mode up and running?

Bazco101 - You can actually rewind any save file to a previous autosave point. Pick Load Game from the main menu, then select your save file, then select Rewind from the bottom menu...

Otherwise, God Mode can be enabled from the Debug menu (Ctrl + F1 on Windows).

Thanks wave.of.atla - I did just use GodMode to crank up my AP and hack the Spirit to death in one turn. Ahhhhh...so much better! Cheers!

I had much less of a problem as a mage, but then I had AoE spells to nail harrow, the spirit, and his illusions in one hit... That, and Harrow went down like a ton of bricks.

Don't forget to dispel magic on the spirit that Harrow heals as it'll also have damage reduction. It's also easy to spot the real spirit when he duplicates, keep a keen eye out and you might be able to spot where it warps to. The spirit warps, the others just appear.

This mission is completely impossible without lowering the difficulty to easy. One more completely untested mission from HBS.
You can tell many of the posts are by people that didn't actually play the mission because Harrow respawns as soon as you kill him so he is impossible to kill.
Also, more people with issues with the stated hit percentages not working correctly.
