If you have Quickness 1, you can't have more than Ranged Combat 1. If you have Ranged Combat 1, you can't have more than Pistols 1.
If your Ranged Combat is 0 you can't even have Pistols 1.
That's super wierd.. How would my stat spread be if i want to play a granade launcher/shotgun dude?
I have body 6, quickness 5. and ranged weapons 5. What do i need to get ranged weps to 6?
The lines on the left of the screen lead to the parent stat that you need.
I didnt understand the lines thing. Also, am i supposed to buy items from markets ? i rearely find new gear on missions. Just once.
You can upgrade primary stats with clothes and implants If you don't plan to max them out and get subskills.. Those can give you tiny bonus to chance to hit with the stat in question or extra HP.
But those items are useless if plan to level up subskills.
Cos those items do not let you level up subskills like for example range combat or drones, meaning if you want to level those you always have to use karma to level primary abilities - stats for those skills.
Was a bit meh when i seen that but that's how it is, i guess it would be too OP if you could save a few karma points just by buying a item.
Also, there's 0 gear progression in the game. None of the weapons in the game seem to matter.
Enemies behind cover can be hard to hit and hard to damage, so you should use flanking and flushing attacks whenever you can. Also use aim buffs, cyber eyes, target marking, and weapon abilities that increase aim. Also you can lure enemies into overwatch so you shoot them on their turn while they are moving and therefore have no cover to protect them. There are ways to get your hit chance up to 99%
Weapons matter, but they require relevant stats (base stat and this weapon type skill) and maybe certain circumstances to shine. You can't just pump int and cha and expect to always hit everything with a sniper rifle while having 1 in its skill.
