Luca Duerr audition mission question
Can you save the elf guy that doesn't talk or does he always - no matter what attack James and become hostile..?
I imagine you can kill james to save him, but i would rather have an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i understand and know is an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than a mystery that could be worse.

EDIT: I wanted more time with Janna the dwarf girl... She was pretty awesome :(

What I regretted most about that mission is that you understand nothing that elf guy says even when you play an elf :( I guess they could've scripted it such that once you have tazer you can taze the guy to knock him out... but then he'll be captured by security and the Lodge will be implicated (assuming that's not the case otherwise).

Apparently he was set up that he has to die no matter what, and james was not supposed to survive... so now i have the question... Can the ELF ever survive?

Oh I thought original question was about elf. In all my playthrough all team members survived except the elf. Since the game has combat scripted I think only way to progress is via winning it, which means getting the elf dead. There is no nonlethal way to subdue enemies (unless they script it like in one of the later missions).

If you side with the elf (which necessarily involves failing the Lodge objective) you are forced to kill James. If the dwarf girl (i forget her name) also survives they end up both fleeing the country.

I flubbed a couple of missions to the point that i dont have enough money for the dragon research, so im going to have to work for Luca Duerr. This discussion, mild spoiler though it is, kinda confirms my suspicions about what i have to do.
