More specifically DF was originally a DLC campaign for SRR; it was expanded into a standalone with much improved engine and added content.
are they both the same lenght?
Def grab this one.
The original SRR was essentially a "proof of concept" and practice run for the devs. It's a good game in and by itself, just pales in comparision to the much improved sequels - if you intend to get it someday, best play it first because after DF or HK it'll look pretty meh.
guess i should buy the return?
thank god there not linked together
If you've only single bullet aim it at DF:DC (and pray you don't trigger any annoying bugs).
It did not rely on grenade spam as much as dragonfall does, thus making it more enjoyable
story is better in dragonfall, but i would pick returns over dragonfall
Why would you pick up that one, even though you said that dragon is a better game?
So is combat more difficult in teh dragon sequel?
I would consider that to be a good thing...
I'd say AI in DF:DC more realistic but still not that good.
They behave more rationally in combat like using grenades if your team flustercucks. Still they do crazy things like spotting your drone in vent can keep dozen enemies preoccupied. Or happily sprinting into barrier spell. Or repeatedly trying to taze wind elementals.
o.ok thanks for the info. tempted to get the sequel than the original one...
