only Glory and Dante have the strength necessary and of course a hellhound with a minigun would just be ...silly
i made a save file and decided to try it and if I didn't like it i could always reload. I gave the gun to Glory, and she only gets 37% to hit with it, but if dietrich uses aim then she gets above 50% with burst fire which seems fair. combined with the 3 ap (i got a bonus ap I guess it's part of the story) and then if I use her injector she gets 4 ap and can shoot the minigun twice or shoot once and reload.
I dunno though, it might be redundant since i still feel like her hand razors have more strategic value since they can peel off the armor.
I don't think i'm gonna need money anymore at this point ...unless i want to buy new spells for dietrich or something. I got so used to using him as a buff-bot he never seems to be in position to do damage though. I did not realize you can "replace" his default spells so i was only sticking an armor spell into the empty slot.
Well I suppose you could mount it on his back with some kind of motorised harness and HUD-sight setup. GL teaching the mutt to operate that though, and it's not like he's got Ranged Combat to speak of anyway...
On a bit of a digression that kind of setup would work just fine for animal-form Shapeshifters though, and might as well throw in suitably modified armour (such is already used in Afghanistan today AFAIK) while you're at it because relying solely on your regeneration power is both risky and at the very least uncomfortable.
That was my philosophy too. Trying to turn your dedicated close-combat lass into a second-rate gunner never seemed like a worthwhile pursuit. :/
