run interferrence with summons, drones whatever. don't go for the killing blow basically. duck and weave man duck and weave, why are you having an issue? there is no save bug.
Anyway, the turrets are also very useful, you can hack them and switch sides as needed.
I got Glory, Blitz and Eiger.
I was somewhat torn between saving APEX and killing it. If APEX was telling the truth he wasn't to blame for his actions prior to that point having no free will and killing him woud not be honorable. And since I stood to gain more by not killing him, Killing him would not be profitable.
So I decided to Save APEX. I used Blitz, APEX and my PC to hack the terminal and just powered thru.
just don't kill the machines unless you think its a good idea to do so as they'll just spawn more. I'd use Max to draw fire and have Glory use her healing spell and what not. Don't think Eiger's or Glory's attacks work on robots (ap stun). but if you are in cover you should be 'ok' with heals right?
OK just did the fight, encountered a glitch afterwards and I did not save at any time during the mission, so I can safely say the mission glitching out is NOT due to saving during the mission.
I used your team, my main character had a minigun. he hadn't the ranged combat skil for the ares assault rifle which was a shame. otherwise he would have had the full set. didn't realize its requirements where so ...high. anyways I started the map opted to help APEX.
So blitz and APEX went in and hacked a turret (did the left side) then hacked a Control node. THEN the enemies start pouring in, so RUN from that control node to the other control node (ignore the other cyber enemies)
Blitz got killed in the matrix jacked out I healed him (24 wound) and jacked him back in, think this might have broken the mission but whatever. ran him to the other control node and hacked it. got it hacked before the first set of robots wandered thru the door.
Yes they will run past you. you can hurt their AP with MAX (blitz's drone) and with Eiger's shotgun skill Kneecapper or whatever. but just hold off on killing them until they reach the terminal.
Only had to kill 3 robots before the counter wore off.
*edit*
I apparently made it thru the mission it saved and got me back to the kruezsbar.
I just had to quit out and load the autosave. Got me an Ares and an 20 damage rifle too.
I don't think he has disarm. Or spirit summoning.
I know when I use spirit summoning in my games they always roll 'lose control'
ALWAYS. like 100% chance to lose control of summon. its so garbage. the number it displays is like 14% chance to do it, but 75-90% of the time it just loses control.
You get a killer robot with a minigun, laser sight and grenade launcher. he also makes a bunch of turrets in the final area allied with you.
As for not trusting it. Why exactly? It should act in its own interests, as should every living thing, but why don't you trust it and you trust say Blitz, Eiger, Glory or Dietrich?
At the end of the game, after everything else resolves it presents you with a promise to work to kill all dragons without causing massive loss of life for humans.
He presents it as a threat not giving you a choice in the matter. because APEX wants to kill all dragons.
You could go into a tizzy as to why I'm OK with saving a robot life to kill all dragons. why is the robot different than dragons?
and I personally find 1.) Dragons are capable of defending themselves. and
2.) Dragons seem to be suffering from excessive boredom/eccentricity due to not being able to die.
I insisted that APEX show me its true self. The sight was not reassuring.
