How would you rank ALL the Shadowrun games?

I ask because I can't find a single page where people compare the Genesis and SNES game to the Returns engine games, much less the fps and whatever Chronicles is.
So I'd like to ask the title question here or at least how Dragonfall compares to the 16 bit games.

Hmm...

Out of ten. One garbage, ten all-time classic.

Returns: 6.

Neat and original, but mostly for RPG fans looking for a new flavor. It just played too by the rules outside the Shadowrun 'cyberpunk meets fantasy' setting itself.

Dragonfall: 8

Far stronger plot, and improved mechanics. A great game in its own right any fan of RPGS will eat up on its own merits.

Hong Kong: 9.

Just short of all-time classic, but the few annoyences are well worth pushing through.

I will admit that I dug what a low-key, personal, slow burn story Hong Kong was, though. I've heard that the amount of text and non-fighting quests really turned some people off it.

Haven't played the first two, so no comment. I've read LPs though, and they look like fun but dated games.

I've heard reliably that Chronices is 'meh,' though. Not into MMO's in general, too, so not something I've spared more then one glance at.

Very similar tbh, i've played and completed both, Preferred the Megadrive version myself but most preferred the Snes

Both were a solid 9-10

On a par imo, Snes and Megadrive were slightly different but all games are awesome and very similar to the Snes more than the Megadrive imo.

Dragonfall was the best for me, at least in terms of story but i might be bias cuz i had to play hong kong pretty fast... i couldn't flavor it as it deserves, but at least i can tell you that in terms of gameplay and difficulty Hong Kong wins... So, Dragonfall 1st, Hong Kong 2nd and Returns 3rd

I don't understand why you keep asking that? You can get both on Emulators and play them for free anytime.

I keep asking that because the only reason I created this discussion was to hear how people felt about them in comparison to the original games. I haven't found any page making that comparison anywhere, so I decided to ask here.

I love to hear analysis and I want to hear how people feel about the comparison. All I have found is that people consider the original games to be among the best on their consoles, and that Dragonfall or Hong Kong is the best of the new games. I want to hear people talk about how the games differ and find out if this game lives up to the originals because I just want to see that analysis done.

Well tbh i found all 3 of these better in most respects to the Snes and on a par with megadrive.

Do they play very differently from the megadrive game, or do they have the same mechanics? What makes 1 game better or worse to you?
