Eh, That was one of the concerns with the game when it was originally released. It felt like t was building to something with Simeon and the conflict with On High, and then, nothing.
Its basically up to us the gamers whether the game gets a sequel or not. Sales AND general player reception is going to influence whether they will make a sequel or not, this remaster is basically them testing the waters, they HAVE wanted to make a sequel for years, but they want to see if there is a big enough playerbase/interest to warrant it, as making games aren't cheap.
Really only thing I am worried about is if they wokeify the game up somehow. All players want is a faithful remake/remaster with no modern identiy garbage put in. If the game is found out to be woke, its going to massivly hurt its sales and popularity. So I hope they don't put any of that crap in the game and just keep it how it always was. I'm kinda worried because they have been awefully quiet, and the game comes out in less than 2 weeks, you'd think they'd be trying to generate hype with it this close to release. Also why can't we pre-order it yet, or at least see its price on pc yet.
Well, you will need to buy a lot of copies if so cause Bamco don't even care to produce sequels to Code Vein and Scarlet Nexus despite it sold millions.
Nah, the guy who made God Eater and Code Vain wanted to do other things. The guy who made Freedom Wars wants to make Freedom Wars. Sales matter but they aren't the end all be all. I think a lot of people will be disappointed if this doesn't get a sequel and I wouldn't be surprised if it did considering how popular it was for its time.
