Where are people farming weapons?
Need me a pile of caliburns. I was trying to farm in 7-3 but none of the sinners there dropped.. anything? maybe horrific luck, spent like 10 minutes for nothing.

Edit: went back in, 15 more minutes, still nothing. I don't think the sinners in 7-3 drop anything but mods. :/

weapon farmin is really a pain now that we can't just manufacture them like on vita. though you can find some weapons dropped by adbuctors by severing certain weaponry off of them, it's not random the weapon you get is based on the weapon you cut off

I kinda wish the game had some sort of compendium or something, not being able to manufacture weapons makes it such a pain in the ass to get a specific melee weapon with a rare stat.
Worst case you're able to use citizens to upgrade the slot capacity on weapons now, so with enough luck on the relevant skill attribute you could drive a weapon from rank 1 all the way to rank 8. Bit of a shame we can't just dump resources into the factory until we get a lucky roll, but it does give citizens more useful purposes.

Yeah the problem is I can't even find somewhere to reliably farm a lot of melee weapons. Simeon gave me +crit chance. a whopping .3% crit.

I haven't played on Vita since forever and I have been taking my time moving through the story, but I honestly don't recall an upgrade system that's related to Simeon?

Well, modules are no longer locked to weapons, rarity is just how many modules slots it has, the growth factors/rates are gone and the are made static. Other than those weapons with the yellow notch on them, a weapon u buy off zakka can be leveled up and be as good as any you'd loot. Zakka offers all the weapon types in the game. The bonuses for the yellow arrow weapons are so minor that it really doesn't change much.

I mean you do you man, but its not really going to be worth it for how minor the bonuses are. But at least it gives you something to hunt for so thats a good thing. But I've notice code 6+ mission sinners seem to rarely if ever drop their weapons anymore. I remember the code 7 mission vs sinners being a great spot to farm weapons, not the code 7 exam but 7-1 i think. But i've done it 3 times and have not gotten a single weapon off any of those kills. I find most weapons I get now seem to be abductor drops for some weird reason.

I can't use the arisaka myself, its a good gun, but I hate the semi auto nature of it. Small hands on a xbox controller is not a fun time. My hands literally get sore playing this game because firing a gun is R2. I'd rather it be R1, but they have fire ranged locked to heavy melee. So yeah I get alot of sore hands playing this game, even more so as I like to sever parts and thats alot of button mashing.

You can change the controls in the settings.

In the original every sinner killed would drop their weapon when their body faded. I'm not sure I understand why they changed that. They could have kept that the same and had them drop the occasional module besides.

Prob because the randomness thing with early/late bloomer is gone, and modules are mainly crafted now, so there is much less reason for them to really have weapon drops now. As all rarity does now on weapons is just tell you u how many module slots it has.

Yes I know I can but the problem is they have certain controls locked to each other, like Heavy Melee swing and firing a gun are locked to the same button, same for Weak melee swing and reload, they are hard locked to both use the same button as far as I know and thats where the problem is. as I'd swap fire my gun to R1 and switch reloading to R2, but I cannot do that because it also will swap weak/heavy melee buttons as well as they are tied to the other ranged thing. I use spears so I mostly use the weak charged attack attack to throw it as it seems to be better than all the heavy charged attacks.

Yeah it does suck that they are locked together.
