Lol ok. Delusional comment.
While I love the Vita and the Vita version was great for its time, but there is now way in hell this is inferior.
I can play this at 4K 60 fps with mouse and keyboard and play online with an active player base since the game is new its easy to find matches.
I can also use cloud save to play on steam deck OLED hand held on a screen that looks way better than either my LCD or OLED PS Vita.
I love how all the dumb comments are from people who don't even own it.
Played exclusively with mouse and keyboard and its absolutely fine.
I can't comment on whether this is worth it for multiplayer alone, as I have never bothered playing multiplayer. As a single player game this is one of my favorite games of all time, and this remaster is by far the best version of it. I've played through the game over a dozen times on my Vita.
Be warned that if you have windows version 24H2 the game will have major problems. That update broke a lot of software, so much so that Microsoft froze the update. If you, like many others, were unlucky enough to get updated before the freeze you will want to recover back to 23H2.
I have 23H2, have played for over 20 hours without a single crash or bug. I did have one frame drop when my character pulled a citizen from an abductor pod. Other than that it has been incredibly smooth and crisp at 4k60.
There is no other game like this. There are games that I would consider to be the same genre, namely Monster Hunter and God Eater, but the atmosphere of this game is wholly unique. Combat is a little clunky, this is a remaster of an old portable game, but the giant abductors have so many individual removable parts that it's insane. Individual toes on their feet, ribs, every joint on their arms, every weapon, their heads and armor pieces, all can be dismantled during combat and collected for later use as weapon upgrade materials.
But again, multiplayer? I have no idea as I never had any interest in playing the multiplayer in this game. As a fantastic singleplayer experience, yes.
I played the original to death with my friends back in college. This version removes gender, edits or removes dialouge for the modern audience and runs like jank.
There are other dei infused changes with the story I can point out, but that is neither here nor there.
If all you care about is multiplayer, higher resolution and a controller, cool. Buy it. But if you want to experience the game as it was intended, get it on the vita. That is my opinion.
I care more about consistency over graphics and gameplay. Respect the original release. Again, my opinion.
There is no changes to dialog. The script remains completely unchanged from the original. There are no DEI changes other than changing the text referencing male and female body types to body type A and B. While I agree that this is a stupid change, it is as far as I have found the only change that could even remotely be considered DEI driven, lasts only so long as you take to choose your male or female character and is completely inconsequential.
Stop making up nonsense or bring receipts.

Why is this game selling so poorly? Why is it being blasted for it's changes and performance? I'm criticizing something you like. It happens. It's mixed on steam for a reason. It's either woke related or performance related.
If you think the only thing changed was the removal of gender, you didn't look hard enough. Again. I like consistency over gameplay and graphics. As I said before. My. Opinion.
You are lying. There have been absolutely zero changes to the script. I have played through the original over a dozen times from start to finish and have hundreds of hours with the game.
It is selling about as well as can be expected for a port of an old Playstation Vita game. No one, particularly Bandai Namco, was expecting this game to sell record numbers.
Criticisms about it's performance and stability are fine, as many people are experiencing issues due to Windows 11, but you are creating a false narrative and spreading misinformation. This is malice and nothing more.
I don't understand your purpose. If you care about DEI and wokeness in gaming you are doing harm to your own movement, just as all those others posting about the body type A or B thing are. if anything, each and every one of you seem to be participating in a false flag designed to make people think the movement is made up of nothing but insane weirdos. If you are actually trying to further your cause, stop. You are only making people hate you and damaging the very cause you are trying to champion.

Maybe you should go read Namco's Bandai's new dei infused publishing approach to releases. You talk like you hold the cards. You do not. We are done discussing.

I agree that it should state Male or Female rather than A or B, because it is infantile and ridiculous to label them so when everyone knows what it means. On the other hand it is infantile and ridiculous to complain ad nauseam about such a small change when things could be so much worse.
You cannot reject the modern audience, because the modern audience does not exist. Your phrasing makes no sense. I can only assume that English is not your first language. What you mean to say, I can only assume, is that you reject the changes wrought in modern games designed to appeal to the modern audience, which does not in fact even exist.
Extreme wokeism in gaming is already dying, as it was inevitably going to do. If anything, your rhetoric is keeping it alive. As I said previously, you are doing actual damage to your cause.
