Trying to delete save and start over. Any advice?

I tried to delete the Config and Save data in the Appdata > Local Folder > FREEDOMWARS folder, but it still pulled up the previous save file.

Your Steam Cloud backup is probably still on.

I was going to suggest the same, it might be downloading your cloud save when you launch the game as it couldn't find a save file to use.

Out of curiosity, why bother? You can alter your appearance and character name at any time. You also unlock the ability to alter your companion's appearance later on as well. Beyond that I'm not really sure why you would want to start over.

Maybe someone just decided "heck with it, I'm starting over from scratch because reasons" or something. Even if it's not something I would always do, if I played this for like 3 hours today, and then don't get back to touching it again until 4 months from now, I'd probably wanna start over fresh as well. The progress made in that 3 hours doesn't matter if I forget the basics of gameplay.

i sometimes restart my god eater 1 and 2 saves from scratch to re experience the story so thats one reason

I knew I wasn't the only one. I must have played through GE2 over 12 times by this point. I own it on Vita, PS4 and steam lol.

I knew I wasn't the only one. I must have played through GE2 over 12 times by this point. I own it on Vita, PS4 and steam lol.

when a story is that fun and great to play though (imo) ofc i will restart it if theres no newgame+ option same with 3 i newgame +'d about 2 times now, i also own ge 1and 2 on ps and steam and 3 on ps steam and switch (was on sale for like 20$ on switch once for me lol) and code vein on ps and steam

Same here, except for the switch, that one seemed kind of pointless to me as I only use my switch docked. I might only own code vein on playstation though, I can't remember.

i would kill for God Eater 4 at this point.

I mean yeah if you haven't played the game in a long time, but I mean this just came out, so it should be fresh in your mind, so I don't see any reason why you'd start over. I mean you can literally completly edit your char and accessory freely as many times as you want, you can edit all aspects even switch gender of the char if you felt like it.

Well yeah it'd make sense you been away for 4 months, you may have forgotten whats happened. But to restart when the game has barely been out for 24 hours seems weird.
