Japanese cities only?

The game asks for your country at the beginning but then doesn't let you choose your actual location. I had this on vita and I could choose the city where I live in the United States. It's not really a big deal but I wish we could choose our actual locations. It was fun to see your actual region in the rankings

Agreed 100%, so far it seems like most east coast beans i've spoken with ended up in Tokyo but it kinda sucks we can't represent our regions

I chose Hokkaido. Likely they didn't include regions outside of Japan due to the global political climate being far different than it was when the game was originally released. Pitting different cities and countries against each other currently could be portrayed as being in poor taste.

Ultimately it doesn't really matter anyways. We as a community maybe should have chosen a single territory to call home before we started, but it is what it is. i chose Hokkaido because I live in the extreme north of the lower 48.

I think there is a balance issue as well since there would be a significant numeral disadvantage if you live in a country/area/region where the game is not popular, or just a tiny island named Singapore.

On top of wanting to play with friends all over the world in a same team.

the game is set in futuristic jp choosing the region does not effect anything online wise! :o
