Short Games to Play Before Freedom Wars Remastered Releases in 13 Days?
Hi. Lately, I’ve been playing Helldivers 2. Mostly just farming medals, and honestly, it’s kind of boring. No hate against the game, though—the chaotic gunfights are fun, but the medal farming isn’t great. I haven’t been playing it much for that reason. I’ve also been playing Marvel Rivals, mainly just for the daily missions.

Another game I recently finished is Miside. It was great from start to finish and reminded me of The Stanley Parable, but with a yandere anime girl. It’s a solid linear game, though it lacks replay value.

I don’t really have a favorite game at the top of my head, but I’ve beaten a few recently. Infinity Nikki was a chill experience, but it got boring after finishing it. Zenless Zone Zero had a good update, but that’s about it for now. Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail but content drought after completing the main stories. I also enjoyed Delta Force, which felt like a solid Battlefield-style game.

Well, that’s all I can think of. 2025 should finally pick up the pace, but yeah just looking for games to play while waiting for the bigger titles. Got any recommendations? When freedom wars remastered along with dynasty warrior orgins drops, I’m probably going to drop Helldivers 2. Also I'm tired from work today haha. Platform : PC

God Eater 1-3, Code Vein, Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4, Tales of Series.

Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4 would be my top pick. Has a great story.

They're all games you can get for under £10 or near enough since they're not new.

I'll throw in a random game I enjoyed called Astlibra. It's a retro feeling side-scroller adventure. You are constantly gaining levels and getting new weapons and armor with abilities to unlock. It reminds me a bit of Faxanadu on the NES if you are old enough to know that one. It's got a deep enough story once you get into it (time travel stuff) and there's even a DLC with a separate story and protagonist. I highly suggest you give it a look!

Since you like mobile games, I play Nikke: Goddess of Victory. They have a lot of New Years stuff right now, so it's a great time to start! Lots of sexy girls shooting guns and a story that alternates between super serious post-apocalyptic stuff and goofy times with silly girls.

Hopefully one of those is new to you. Good luck!

Thanks for the Astlibra recommendation. Always on the lookout for more games like Faxanadu!

agree and classic choice.
i could recommend ya Hi-Fi RUSH, yakuza series, judgement, lost judgement, DMC series (skip DMC 2 for your own sake) and persona 5 strikers while you're waiting for your 2025 games.
for mobile game try nikke: goddess of victory, brown dust 2 or granblue fantasy.
here a webisite for sales or discount game https://isthereanydeal.com/ (like fanatical, indiegala and so on which they are trusted site) but remember you can't refund a product key once you add it on your steam.
So many not-so-short games in this thread :steamhappy:
