Only one game so far on steam I've seen recommend joy to pad, Isaac, For a simple indie game I can understand, we are talking about a driving game with a classic style of road rash, I hope in the future you will decide to add Direct X Input & not just microsoft.
Either way, Logitech customers most likly be happy as most devices come with game profiliers to emulate and forces keys with controllers. For the rest, its an
In pricing these days as well, X live controllers can go from 20$ to 49$ easily while direct x input controlers with even more buttons can be bought for 14,99$.
I'm just hopnig to help point out avoiding direct input could be a messy resulting in some complaints.
Best of luck on the game, Its a beaut. Keep working hard :) & Thank you for the steam release!
And I tried all different kinds of emulators, including this one recommended in this post. But no one worked, they seem to be working, all configured well, but when I open the game, nothing happens, the controller don't appear to responde to anything
The version attached to this post is very old compared to the one from x360ce official repository ( https://github.com/x360ce/x360ce )
Current version are: Application v3.0.7.55 (2015-06-08) and Libraries 3.4.1.1324 (2015-06-06)
Try downloading the lastest ones below:
32-bit Download - for 32-bit games[www.x360ce.com]
64-bit Download - for 64-bit games[www.x360ce.com]
I don't know what you have to use since I don't need x360ce (I use a PS3 to Xinput emulator).
You may test both and report here.
I just downloaded the version that you linked and had the same results, the gamepad it's perfectly configured and working, but when I open Road Redemption the buttons don't respond.
Using latest version (for now) - x360ce 3.1.7.58
https://github.com/x360ce/x360ce
1. Emulator files should be unzipped in same folder with file "RoadRedemptionEarlyAccess.exe"
2. Need to start x360ce.exe and configure gamepads in emu AND press SAVE button. Usually configuration (gamepad detection) goes automatically, you just have to press NEXT and then SAVE. Check if buttons work fine in x360ce.
3. Make sure, that your gamepad has not red, but GREEN square in x360ce application (it is in fields "controller 1, controller 2").
4. Check pause screen. It is possible to choose keyboard instead of gamepad there.
I know, this game uses only xinput1_3.dll from emu, but i always make copy of this file with names xinput1_2.dll, xinput1_1.dll, xinput9_1_0.dll to make emu work in other games. And then just copy emu files into every game that want x360.
My gamepads: Logitech USB Rumblepad-2, Cordless Rumblepad-2, F710 and another F710.
I had some problems with F710+emu, as F710 has XInput/DirectInput switch and i often switched it, but forgot to make changes in x360ce - that made third controller off, but four work as third and four at same time. Okay, i mean x360ce may need some re-configuration if you put your gamepad in another USB or unplugged one of them or some other changes with gamepads takes place.
So now I installed MotionInJoy (I didn´t like it a lot) and installed it the way discribed here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5cF7x9cJ9w
then I intalled better DS3
Now I play RR with my PS3 controllers, force feedback works aswell
Scarlet Crush Xinput Wrapper is the most compatible and works flawessly IMHO.
I have 4 DS3 and I use SCP drivers in bluetooth and I didn't get any trouble (force feedback and pressure sensitivity also works on PS2 emu FYI)
If for some reason you want to change to SCP method you should uninstall betterds3 and motioninjoy to avoid any mess in the future.
1) Anyway I recommend you read the first post of the link below (the official thread):
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller?pid=186161#pid186161
2) And watch all tutorials (details and comments) from Wiltshire videos on youtube.
The video tutorials for SCP DS3 are:

3) Check if you are using the latest version, wich is 1.2.2.175.
To make sure, don't forget to download and install the
a) Driver package: http://forums.pcsx2.net/attachment.php?aid=49455
b) and apply this update: http://forums.pcsx2.net/attachment.php?aid=49784.
Before I have installed mine I read and watched all these videos and it worked like a charm.
Good luck and good game!
Sega, SNES, NES, PC, Android can play like every type of games one this console and can stream media to.
the back one the gamepad is like one RS1
The menus are working but not in game.
The Logitech F510 wired gamepad is working fine in all areas.
Any plans to support Logitech F710?
Thanks!
