Road Rash and Road Redemption. Which Road Rash was best?

Lotta Road Rash players here it seems. I only played PC (Win95) and Sega (RR 1 and 2). Did I miss out on anything?

Also saw Skitchin' mentioned. lol. Good times.

Hope Road Redemption lives up to the hype. Like some other guy said, multiplayer working properly is going to be absolutely vital. Anti-cheat, lots of content and full servers ... Don't go Quantum Rush on us by diving up all the players in so many categories that you end up only playing with bots.

There was a Road Rash 3 on mega drive/Genesis. I had a copy of it (still do somewhere), but I could never complete it because it would crash before the last race :P

Jailbreak was by far the best, wheel jumping off cars, great Co-Op with a mate and some really thumping Rock music to help aid that long road trip!

The general consensus is 2-3 + the windows/psx/3do version were the most popular/successful. After those games the series veered off track when the developers were changed. Once the 3D era came around Road Rash was in trouble due to questionable quality. That's why we havent seen another one in a long time. Look it up.

Road Rash 3 On Genesis was the best in my book. I didnt care for the versions that came after it, esp the open world game. it just didnt feel right for some reason.

When I first saw Road Redemption I was kind of turned off by the "boost". But now I'm ready to look passed that. And ready to roll.

I had the Panasonic 3DO version of Road Rash. It's exactly the same as PC version. The awesome artwork and intro+music. But the in-game race music LACKED BADLY! haha

Most memorable in-game race music for me was Brazil in RR3 i think. IDK why it just makes my brain warp back in time to the Sega Channel days.

Until I went and looked on Google/Wikipedia, I didn't even know there were other versions made.

Hoping we get something like "Big Game Mode" in Road Redemption where you can customize loadouts, bike, etc (even a flimsy storyline would be great)

Thanks for the vids! Brought back memories. I recall flying through the air for miles, having to run all the way back to get your bike but saw none of that here ... Maybe I just sucked at it.

The guy playing the 3DO version wishing for a "button for the horn" obviously doesn't quite get it, hehe.

Didn't the PS1 have very long loading times in general? I recall it definitely not being the fastest game console I ever owned.

Don't all consoles have really long load times? Heck, even Destiny on the PS4 takes forever to load between zones!

i never knew the loading screens on skyrim could be interacted with till i saw it on a console. on pc when i played i never had time to even try or notice hardly what the thing was in the screen

I am really partial to 3. I liked the different settings. Which in turn added some new stuff to wreck into as well as triffic direction would switch if you didn't remember which country you were in.

Road Rush 3 on Sega Mega Drive, because of the sound design, filling the world with animals, peoples, jumps in the form of carts, fun videos after the end of every race, the unical ambiance. (3DO/PS1 version good too)
Road Redemption perfectly realized in terms of graphics, physics, some soundtracks are also perfectly executed (in the style of Road Rush). But I really like this career mode, when you start on a bad bike and going up for a better. And on track animals would be on the fields, crossing the road like in Road Rush 3, and crossroads with cars traffic (It's better than dropped down cars maddnes %)). (Maybe the developers haven't played that version of the game series)) And also would be great to separate arcade modes from the simulator. And run to the bike it's unicue to tha game series missed :(

I don't know, they both have a special place in my heart XD. I would say road redemption because of the crazyness, logs falling off of cars, falling cars mode, crazy drivers mode, etc.
I only played road rash 3 on the sega when I was a little kid, then through my teen years played RR jailbreak on the playstation, jailbreak was a very good game, you could just drive, and drive, all of the maps were connected. It's not a necessary feature, but it is fun knowing you can do that.
