Campaign is frustrating
Playing campaign is like winning a lottery – helpful stuff in the shop is random but penalties are far too severe. When you encounter serious missions where you can be easily killed by EVERYTHING you don’t feel prepared at all.

No matter what you choose to buy/upgrade, your racer is so weak! It’s quite obvious that a player should use the first 10 levels of campaign (which are quite easy) to get stronger but usually he gets an opposite – ridiculous 25% or 50% max health drop. You can never be sure of your success because the gameplay has many random conditions, target can escape, you can fall near finish line etc. but taking a quarter of your health is just too much, guys.

Just wait until you get into Campaign+ and they take half.

They are very far from the Road Rash which was a good game even being an old game...from a fax galaxy...I'm very sad about this ROAD REDEPTION...there's no redeption here...:steambored:

I've played all Road Rash games and I like Road Redemption to be honest. Gameplay is quite fun and smooth but they still have serious balance issues. Skill system, bikes and shop - all feel underdeveloped and too random.
Max health bonus is miserable comparing to max health penalty, weapon upgrades don’t give you much advantage either. I’m pretty sure that average gamer will be disappointed with such poor balance. Hope they’ll fix it.

Yeah I really don't get the health penalty. It seems way to brutal. I probably won't ever finish the campaign. It just isn't worth trying to complete it. "Oh, you made a mistake and got poor power ups? Too bad try again." The gameplay just isn't fun enough to make me keep trying for hours and hours at a time. I'll just load up classic mode and choose a track when I want to have some silly fun.

Seems that game designer really hates people. 90-th stupid “game over” system, power ups which give you nothing and last campaign mission which punishes you for your progress. I’ve started it with 250 health – narrow road with oncoming, infinite enemies taking your health from behind before you see them and NO SINGLE HEALTH POWER UP till the end. I doubt that I’ll ever try.

I feel the same way. But I thought if I say it people will tell me to "git gud" lol

The game over system itself is the biggest problem. I crushed the campaign and campaign plus in about 5 hours after starting fresh after the big update. Just wasn't that tough. Didn't even really get to explore the skill tree all that much
