Question regarding upgrading bikes

Game is look awesome (I've had it on my WL since EA release). Quick question before I pull the trigger... I see that there are is a skill tree for upgrading yourself. However, I'm wondering if there are different bikes you can purchase, etc. like in the old Road Rash games.

You can unlock different bikes, A few come from the skill tree, I think the rest you get from beating the game with more riders.

There's 4 bikes to unlock via skilltree with XP, and another 2 to unlock by beating the game with enough riders in Campaign and Campaign+ mode.

Thank you. A bit low compared to the old RR games as I remember them, but I'm sure the skill tree makes up for it.

On the other hand, with all of the upgrades/improvements made recently in the game, it's my hope that the development team is far from done with this game. They might just add an option to improve upon the bikes themselves. It's certainly not a bad idea and the improvements could range from the cosmetic to the cosmic. I gotta admit I'm liking what I see so far, so hopefully the cool stuff continues to happen.

Wait so there's no money and we unlock the bikes? RR1 had like ~20 or so.

There is money and you use it in the shops during a run to increase your max health(upgrading the player), max nitro(upgrading the bike), etc.
