I don't know a single other game that changes its name...at all. At least none of the ones i own except this one.
Free Game is Defy Gravity, it's in game in the main menu on the right.
If you don't want want it, just ignore the submission form on Road Redemption's main menu. As for the name displayed in Steam, it's only for illustrative purposes. The name of the game is "Road Redemption", always has been and always will be. The name as displayed in Steam will return to normal in due course.
Cheers, good gaming!
Then can you like, stop changing the ♥♥♥♥ every few months? What does that even accomplish?

It's not the first time they added something to the title and in the past it confused people, like when they added [Review Copy] to it, which nobody really understood (nor did it make any real sense)
And no other developer is doing that on Steam. If they have to announce something, they either do it ingame or in the forum but not by adding a few words to the game title itself.
I understand your point but it's harmless and certainly not something that's worth fretting about, IMO.
Cheers, good gaming!
You've clearly got a lot of trust for these.... affiliates of yours. I'm still very skeptical, though, as anyone that's used a cellphone in the past several years would be. We've all seen literally thousands of these... offers. What we don't have are the thousands of games to show for it. Obviously I plan to refuse any other prompts for information that your company decides to add to Road Redemption in the future, but this statement should clear up any confusion on the matter well ahead of the time it becomes a problem.
Spot-on.
I think the dozen-or-so threads in this forum alone that are variations on "Review copy?? WTF? I paid for this game!" are indications that the practice isn't harmless, and the player base does consider it worth fretting about.
It's Defy Gravity. At least that's what I got.
I nabbed the free game nearly a month ago, and haven't gotten any free spam yet. I must have done it wrong. Mmmm... spam.
Cheers, good gaming!
But I do understand your point, it's caused some confusion and I'm a little surprised they did it again after the "review copy" thing because that undoubtedly caused some concern. I'm not passing judgement on whether it's a good idea or not, I'm just trying to reassure anyone who may be concerned that the game itself is 100% unchanged by the name that appears in Steam.
Cheers, good gaming!
