This game is horribly optimized

From Black Screens on cutscenes, to crashing on startup, to having major stuttering issues, and the list just goes on. Koei Tecmo and Gust need to get their ♥♥♥♥ together and fix these issues

u can go to the game website and scroll down to the bottom and download the VP9 Video Extensions that fixes the black screen problem

The game eats up about 7600 MB VRAM on 1440p+Dynamic res+med\high mix+med textures. On High textures or higher resolution it bumps up on my 8 GB RTX 2070 Super limit and starts stuttering terribly, overloading VRAM's bus with data, trying to render a scene. Considering resolution of the assets I don't know how it wastes so much free space on VRAM

thank you! I think this has fixed it! I did have to restart my PC before it helped though. I appreciate it so much and I've seen other posts now that mention this. It should be stickied on this forum

there r ppl like me who have actually zero issue with this game.
no blackscreen, no stuttering, no lag, no crashes.

starting to wonder if it isn't the game but the players PC that poorly optimised.

It's absolutely the game.... Because on the official website themselves they posted the solution at the bottom of the screen lol

interesting, i mean i see these "bad game" posts at letterly every single anime game and it r always the same ppl wich really makes me wonder what they did to their pc.

My guess is there's just such a wide variety of different PCs/Laptops nowadays that there's probably lots of small things missing for everyone for different games that help with compatibility. It's crazy to me that I've never had this issue before until Fairy Tail 2 and I had to install some weird codex thing to make it work? When I've literally never dealt with those kinds of files before

It's not a bad looking game, but by no means should it require the hardware it does to run well. I've also seen the game can start dropping audio and other strange behaviors during an extended playtime. There are certainly optimization issues here.

I've had audio dropping as well during some sessions. The game looks great and when it runs great, it's wonderful but then sometimes it just poops itself
