also have to say the first FT game is way bigger then this one.
FT is definitelyba game made only for the fams.
...at least you won't have any "I can't believe they skipped X" if you go in fresh. :P
Which is why this is exactly a game thats NOT MADE FOR EVERYONE.
ITS FOR FANS OF THE SERIES.
In fact, thats the main moniker of most anime games, fans of X series would be into X game.
And when this game speificially says "based on the end arc of the original work"
What dumbass would actually try playing it thinking they can get a broad understanding by just doing the end of the story?
Yes theres a back story summary in game about each arc and the story overall..but thats explicitly beyond the point.
Its not going to give anyone but fans of Fairy Tail, who have seen the entirity of the original series the context they need.
The 2020 game was loaded and I mean absolutely loaded with references to key points across the series from stuff like the means of unison raids or specific fillers such as the Ichiya virus. The unison raid with Natsu and Gajeel from the last game is literally a combination of moments and references from mainly the tartarus arc (their dual breath attack) tenrou (levy leaving iron for Gajeel) and Phantom Lord (Lucy shooting a fire lit arrow much like Sagittarius did when Natsu first fought Gajeel).
Its pretty much the same here.
thanks for this post. will track down season one of the anime and see if it´s worth getting the entire thing or I´ll maybe skip this game.
Was mostly drawn to the combat and fan service though so..we´ll see.
If you want the most consistent (and probably faster way) to experience the story, it's probably advisable to read the manga.
By the way both anime movies are seperate stories that happen outside of the main series, so if your only goal is to catch up to what the game shows, you can ignore them. That being said I REALLY like the first movie (Phoenix Priestess), and it's absolutely worth watching in my opinion. The second movie less so unfortunately.
I hope this time they don´t kneel to Censorship defenders
unlike the two half baked Fairy Tail games at least Edens Zero game seems to be telling the story from the start but it´s a button smasher not a turn based game

Could be interesting, at least it's not by KT.
I don't trust Konami either anymore but a little bit more than KT at least
yeah I think I had that on my radar, partially because I have watched a bit of the anime.
I agree to see if it stays uncensored have to wait and see the gameplay
The way I see the Edens Zero game trailer
it feels like they had put some effort into it but I´m hoping the Edens Zero game stays uncensored like Shining Resonance Refrain when it got released worldwide in July 2018
If you want to check their page about Edens Zero scrolling down there´s more gameplay clips
