Maybe if they had voice acting that I can actually understand? Eh eh!
Or not, that wasn't a problem with the later Samurai Warriors. But that's because it's Dynasty Gaiden.
I loved the first Fairy Tail game though, and now that I actually have an interest in it I could enjoy it in a Warriors style more than, say, all those One Piece games that mostly fly right over my head (though at this point, I've played enough One Piece adaptations that I have a pretty good grasp of its [early] storylines. I only learned who and what Ivankov is this year in a Food Wars crossover)
I would like to think that there is a simple answer to this but opinions vary per person thus my take on this is that I love the Fairy tail series since it has funny moments, sad moments, and it's enjoyable to watch the characters and their adventure. Now, if the counterpart is not as enjoyable it's quite obvious that yes it would be a tear-jerker and a sense of disappointment for the audience who enjoyed the anime/manga.
Often times originality is not the key and especially with the upcoming combat system with a weird mix between turn-based and hack and slash but mostly just button smashing I think it might not be as enjoyable as they would make it out to be (I only state this since I have no prior knowledge of games that do this type of combat system so I think it's weird plus based on the 20 minute demo I'm inclined to believe it's not actually turn-based like the previous one).
I too enjoyed the first game and if it kept the same combat system I would still be fine with it but since it's obviously not going that route and leaning more in a middle ground I get a sense that it's more half-assed(?) than if it went the full way.
I mean they have the animation for it.....so......
This is my continued opinion that they honestly missed an opportunity to make this final battle like a dynasty warriors game since it would have been more engaging for the audience.......like the final series is.......
