I tried it on both kinds of hard drives, SSD came back with no errors, but still wouldn't start, then when I validated the files, it came up with the write error that the other drive gave me before it even installed. Right this would be easier on Discord so I 'll wait till we can chat there... I was hoping that the studio had a Discord, but couldn't find an invite link ;) Thanks again
On the SSD I did get as far as a black screen for a second, but it didn't do that the next time
You guys Rock!
Game of the Year, here we ♥♥♥!!...

Can someone share with me what the solution is?
From what I remember, uninstalling the game and disabling/removing the antivirus before reinstalling the game helped. Are you using any antivirus?
If you're just a home user who does web browsing, light office type work and gaming, then Windows Defender is free, "good enough" and has been for a decade. The primary reason Norton's (and McAfee) still exists are kickbacks to CTOs and outdated security policies that ensure corporate installs, not any sort of merit.
