Game starts now...it was Norton
Just created an exception for the file so it'll be a thing of the past soon

Says couldn't start then the file path to what I think is the game... ends with shipping.exe Nymphomaniac create process() returned 2

Hope all is good with the teams because the upcoming titles look really good

I have a screenshot of the error, but TBH I've never had to post one on this so I have no clue, and I'm not seeing any kind of attach button so I'm assuming I can't

Hmm, you bought a game and it just doesn't work? That's weird. Are all the system requirements correct? Write to me on Discord: xlily_lilithx :)

I sent a Friend Request to that name ;) Thank You for your help...
I tried it on both kinds of hard drives, SSD came back with no errors, but still wouldn't start, then when I validated the files, it came up with the write error that the other drive gave me before it even installed. Right this would be easier on Discord so I 'll wait till we can chat there... I was hoping that the studio had a Discord, but couldn't find an invite link ;) Thanks again

Oh, and yep, system requirements are good on my end: i9, 2080 Super, 64-bit, 128 RAM
On the SSD I did get as far as a black screen for a second, but it didn't do that the next time

I have the same problem (shipping.exe Nymphomaniac create process() returned 2).
Can someone share with me what the solution is?

From what I remember, uninstalling the game and disabling/removing the antivirus before reinstalling the game helped. Are you using any antivirus?
Karlosthehawk Dec 19, 2024 @ 11:07am
Its a shame and kinda stupid that a game wont either run or dose work for the first 20-30 seconds then it boots you back to desktop because your antivirus thinks the program is a risk. So you have to turn off the WiFi on your computer for it to fully work as i found out when playing AGONY

If your antivirus is flagging a game as malware, then your antivirus is the problem not the game. And Norton's has a terrible reputation among tech professionals.

If you're just a home user who does web browsing, light office type work and gaming, then Windows Defender is free, "good enough" and has been for a decade. The primary reason Norton's (and McAfee) still exists are kickbacks to CTOs and outdated security policies that ensure corporate installs, not any sort of merit.
