I guess it works both ways, I agree Jeff the killer's story is far from being stephen King's opera. But sometime you don't want to see or read something too elaborate and you apreciate it. Look at the paranormal activity films. Quality is always lower from a film to another (besides the 3rd on my opinion) but the audience is still there
lol the story is fan made and its terribly written.
Um... are you comparing Autism to Metal Retardation? Because I'm Autistic and I'm an A+ student in my Collage classes and I hate Jeff the Killer.
OK, stepping in here. No matter your point, discussing this matter on the internet will not only likely become slinging ad hominem attacks and strawmen all over the place, it will also derail the thread. I'm still waiting for an answer that will satisfy me- no actual fans have responded!
So please, if you want to have a discussion about the nature of autism, and the proper use of the term, find somewhere else. There are plenty of other threads in plenty of other forums, and I don't want off-topic mudslinging ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up mine.
Wasn't planning on getting into a discustion, but I understand. But I think your in the wrong place to ask Jeff Fans. Since this is just some game that basically no one knows about and it doesn't premote that it's a Jeff The Killer game. Heck I bet that most of Jeff Fans aren't probably into playing games, there most likely those who just watch YouTube Screamers. I think the best bet on getting your awnser is by asking them on Jeff The Killer Tribute Videos on YouTube.
You're probably right. The thing is, I made this question on Steam because this was what made me really wonder about Jeff, is this game being based on him. No way I want to go looking on Youtube for this, stuffing up my youtube recommendations with bunches of Jeff junk.
I will admit right here and now, yes, the origanal story of Jeff the killer...kinda sucked. It did. Most of the flaws were centered on realism(a young teen able to overpower three other teens so easily, not to mention his two full grown parents, and also bleach DOES NOT do that to a persons skin when lit aflame).
The little newspaper thing at the beginning has a kid describing his run in with Jeff, but he uses words far too advanced for his age to be beleavable, and the break between newspaper clip and the start of the story isnt visable at all, which can lead to confusion.
However, the idea and the character himself have potential. If you look at some of the other stories(I know you said you aren't gonna look this stuff up but I'm going to suggest MrCreepyPasta anyway, as he did a reading of the origonal as well as some of the better creepypastas regurarding Jeff) who were done by other people, they were actually really good. Better writing, and better all around characterization.
Now, I'm not trying to put down the origonal writer. Really, I'm not. Everyone starts somewhere, and the origonal looks to me like it was done by someone just getting into writing. If someone took the base story, and reworked it, closed the plot holes, got into the characters personalities more, it would work. It could be a fantastic story.
What I'm saying is that yes, the origonal creepypasta had it's drawbacks, and yes, it suffered severly for them, but Jeff himself when used properly is, to me, a very interesting character. Think in the vein of old slasher movies, he has that pull, that apeal.
