Right click the game > Properties > Betas. Set it to None.

Either downgrad your game to join old servers indeed, or find updated one.

The non-Beta version of the client hasn't been updated and is still running version 9540945.

Beta versions may have been updated, but I'm not sure why you'd be running those since you'd run into this exact problem every time valve decides to test something.

13th May has a Beta pre release change, not sure what else changed but did notice the create server panel has more options than just a tick box for sharing your server,

Public and listed in the Internet Tab

Not sure, they don't typically release info on Betas. Hopefully they fix some bugs that resulted from their Feb update, but time will tell.

Likely about a month or 2 before it goes live and breaks a bunch of other stuff along with it.

Interesting SteamDB history page shows whats in the pre-release after the 19th Feb... https://steamdb.info/app/300/history/ shows things added and removed.

That one I found for the various create server panel option (replaces the "Use Steam Networking" tick box with 4 options) is quite old, 24th Feb 2025.

I see others there steam deck stuff added 13th May 2025, not much else.
