Glad you got it sorted.
Really pissed that Valve had to go and break a 20 year old game.
I went into Video Options > Advanced > and set Filtering to Trilinear and Anti-Aliasing to None.
Since I did that I've had no issues thus far.
Please post here if you try that and it don't work for you.
Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. I'm crossing my fingers for you (that this fix continues to work for you), but so far any fixes I've found have only been temporary. Crashing to desktop always returns.
I tried deleting all of my downloaded map files, so force downloads, but that made no difference.
All graphics settings are on the recommended * settings.
Still crashing
first thought it was the skin (insane HUD v11) but neither a reinstall of dod:s nor trying diffent settings worked
that are the proposed settings here, so no luck for me
