Problem with mouse movement
I have been playing DoD on my mac for the last few days. Today, my mouse movements within the game have been very jerky/rough and ristricted. It felt as if the game was missing most movements.

I am using a logitec laptop mouse (wireless). These problems are not felt outside the game or within other games (e.g. CS, Unreal Tournament). The problem is also felt if I use my laptop's trackpad instead of using the mouse.

I have tried playing with the mouse settings in DoD - but that seems to make things worse.

Any tips on sorting this?

Try using m_rawinput 1 or 0.
This is most likely do the fact that Mac OSX has mouse acceleration enabled by default. It smoothes out mouse movements on the OS itself, and makes things easier to click.

However, when you play games, it will feel very jerky and restricted. This is only ampliphied because Mac OSX's mouse accelration is especially geared toward making the trackpad as easy to use and smooth as possible.

There is no option in preferences to disable mouse acceleration. If your willing to use terminal, there are ways posted elsewhere on the internet, that I will attempt to find later.
having the same problem since the last update. not happening in CS. very annoying
in fact it only happens once i am direktly in the game, actually playing, before that everything is fine

I'm having similar problems in Windows 8 - the m_rawinput setting seems to fix it for me - thx!
doesnt fix it on linux. anyone from valve here care to comment? problem turned up only since last update or so
@Joshinator: I understand that macOS may use a slightly different approach towards gathering mouse inputs. However, this problem occoured after I had played DoD for a few days.

Furthermore, the same problem is not occouring in CS. As mentioned by seb84; this could be linked to a DoD update that was pushed to us via steam.

Has anyone on mac been able to fix this?
Some things can be fixed by Updating your Half life game.
How do you update your Half life game?
yes, how do you update your half-life game?

There is a way to disable mouce acceleration, but it is a launch option and I believe it only works for force disabling Windows' Mouse acceleration and not Mac OSX's. These are the commands that you put in launch options
-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms. Try it out
Turn on RAW mouse input and try it again, if it is already on, then turn it off.
