Game keeps crashing [SOLVED]

Hey!

I've verified the game's files and cache, but the game keeps crashing. It displays no error messages, just straight up freezes and closes the game. Complained about it on a server and one of the guys also said, that he has the same problem. As of yet I have not found a fix for it. Any help?

Ok, so turns out it has to do with the new update.

In order to fix the crash issue, you have to open up Half-Life's "Properties", then head to "Betas" and from the drop-down list choose "steamLegacy - pre update". Having clicked on that, close the window and run DoD. It'll look like it was before the update, but will not crash.

Does it randomly just freeze and soundloop?

I managed to fix it by running it once on "pre Updated" Half-Life and after that I put it back to "none" - I also changed the "Widescreen" option to un-checked, but I don't think that it's a contributor in that case. Hasn't crashed after that tho.
