yeah i was just playing day of defeat and when i opened the find servers button avast
said that hl.exe or half-life is infected with Botnet:Blacklist

that's on your end it has nothing to do with the game.

i figured out what it was
avast simply block a server saying its infected with botnet and it didnt show up the virus notification again but i need answers on why it happened

also the server ip is on the image if you want to check the ip

Just whitelist the IP in Avast.

I have Avast on my computer that I use to play games on and it doesn't come up with any viruses or botnets on any games I own especially any GoldSrc titles like DoD and HL.

Must be an issue on your end and it's probably a false positive.

isn't AVAST a virus? i had a virus scanner have that come up with ♥♥♥♥ as trojens.

your issue is using avast. 10, 12, years ago it was dog$hit and it still is.
