Can't interact with vending machine buttons

On my machines and for jobs, the [E] does not appear for the red "Not working" button or the cash box. For opening the vending machine, the [E] and [F] only appear when the mouse is below the bottom product shelf. Also, the [E] appears only when mousing near the bottom of the truck door. The [E] works fine for the spare box in the vending machine and for the trash bin.

If I pick up my vending machine, the [E] works for the vending machine place. After setting it back down, the "not working" [E] DOES work, but very briefly and the cash [E] still does not. Obviously, I can't test that with job vending machines.

I can refill items, but I cannot interact with the prices.

I have tried restarting the game session, the game app, and the computer. I have also reinstalled the game. None of these have resolved the issue so far.

EDIT: Slap [E] works just nicely. lol
EDIT: The [E] also appears only at the bottom of boxes or sometimes not at all.
EDIT: Starting over with a new game resolved the issue. I guess I have to restart building my box pyramid.
