whats the difference between mutants and zombies ?
i know this game is not going to have Zombies. the AI enemies in the game are called Mutants - so my question is : what is it that sets the mutants apart from zombies ? why did the developers chose the mutant concept and what does it mean in detail ?

how do the mutants affect the gameplay comparing to the "typical zombie gameplay" ?

- are mutants still human somehow? what makes them evil ? is it because they are deformed + willing to eat human meat for survival ? or are they just evil brainless monsters like zombies ? will the game feature depictions of canibalism ? will we be able to play as mutants ?

- is it easier to kill a mutant than a zombie ? no need for headshot or severe dismemberment ?

- will mutants spawn in random places on the map lor will they have lairs - underground or on the surface ? will they track players ? roam the map ?

- i know there is a mutant dog concept - will there be other mutated animals ? hybrid mutants ?

- will mutants use brutal force on everything that moves or can we somehow trick them without fighting ? ( throw a piece of meat into the opposite corner etc . )

They've shown in the past concepts of having the mutants hunt deer and other wildlife in order to fill their own food bars. If they don't eat for long enough they'll die. Not sure if that's still a concept they're considering but it's an interesting one. I think the idea is that they're evil because they're so debased and deranged that they're basically feral. I'm afraid I don't know about the other questions, one of the devs will probably have answers for those soon.

hey thanks alot for the answer. that sounds indeed interesting and would explain why they hunt deer all the time ! :D nice even if its just a concept its cool to know.

i´m fine with them being evil for the sake of it but i always like to know those little details about the lore.
sure would be cool if the devs would pop in and spread some of their enthusiasm. :)

There's probably a heirarchy in their programming that makes them more likely to follow a player than a deer or other thing if they detect it, just to make it more interesting. That's just a shot in the dark though.
