Blank Server List and can't join friends
Okay so i have a problem with the server list being empty and if i try to just join friends it says unable to connect.

I've tried adding Miscreated.exe and EasyAntiCheat.exe to my firewall exceptions, disabling antivirus, verifying the files, reinstalled the game completely, flushed my DNS, and opted out of all betas. Yet still no servers show up and i still can't join friends. Googling this came up with nothing so here i am making a post myself to see if any of you have any ideas.

Try doing this:

Click the Windows button, and type in the search function this: CMD
It should open you a small black window, after that, type in the black window this: ipconfig /release and click enter after you typed it type this ipconfig /renew and click enter, after you did that type exit and press enter.
It's basically giving you a new IP.
Also, what's your system specs and operating system?

most cases people are using a router so they will need to flush the router not the home computer , best method is to
unplug power to router and cable modem wait 30-60 seconds and plug in modem wait 30 seconds and pugin router

This is my buddies post and the server list was blank here, and at his house. We're plugged directly into the modem (so im not sure /release renew will have any effect as our ISP usually hands the same one back.) and my game brings up the server list just fine and his was blank at the very same time.
We definitely tryed restarting the router here and it did nothing for him, tho I could still see the servers listing. He went home, same thing there. Blank server list and could not join me thru Steam either. Instant 'cannot connect' <shrug> this one has me puzzled.
Im not sure his exact specs but its an alienware laptop.

What windows is he using?

Windows 7 the Laptop is an Alienware M17x

An instant cannot connect message would mean there is something on the laptop that is preventing the game from contacting Steam's servers - the three primary cases for that are the Windows firewall, AV program, or router issue. The main Miscreated.exe (in the root Miscreated Steam folder) is the EAC launcher. It starts up and then launches our game which is located in the Bin64 folder (Bin64/Miscreated.exe). Verify both of those have exceptions in your firewall.

Both are already added as exceptions. In my game.log we did notice this line:

CNotificationNetwork::Create: Failed to create socket.

Not sure if that means anything.

Can you put the entire game.log file on a site like pastebin.com? I'd like to look through it.

Game.log postbin link for you

Starting to wonder if its not some piece of bloatware that came preinstalled. Such as McAfee or Killer net manager. Trying to disable these things now to see.

The message isn't from any code we wrote or have access to, so I'm guessing it may be part of the Steam libraries (or possibly the core CryEngine code we don't have access to). The error code though means that there is a network port that's already in use that the game is trying to use (or it's being denied permission to create it for some reason). Try stopping all non-essential programs and see if you can locate what is using the port it wants. It may also help to append the line:

log_writeToFileVerbosity=4

to the end of the system.cfg file in the Miscreated folder and upload that game.log file. It may contain more information about what it doesn't like.

bam! deleted this as it's no longer important.

Something on your computer is definitely not allowing the game to create the connections it needs - my guess is some sort of firewall or antivirus system.

Can't even run Windows Update. Gonna completely reformat. That should solve the problem. haha

Reformat solved the problem. Server list is now visible.
