"Critical Process Died" BSOD on exit

I'm getting this bluescreen of death on exit with the error code "Critical Process Died", at first I thought it might be an issue with my PC or GPU but it is only caused by this game.

What are your system specs? I'm assuming Win 8 for the operating system, if that's correct do you ever get that error on startup or when in standy mode?

I second osis remark. If it BSOD again, can you get a picture of it please? It will have a stop code and tell about what process died

CPU: Xeon E5-2693 V3 12Core @ 2.8GHhz
RAM: 128GB DDR4 EEC/Reg Ram @ 2133Mhz (15-15-17-35)
GPU: Quadro K6000 12GB VRam
Main Drive: IODrive 1.2 PCI-E SSD (game is installed on this, there are other drives)
Display Res: 4096x2160 @ 60hz (primary)
Connection Speed: 125Mbit down / 40Mbit up
Operating System: Windows 10 B9926

It didn't have a stop code, just this http://www.reviversoft.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/critical_process_died_windows_8.png but without the code. I tried dual booting back into Windows 7, but instead of the bsod I get a hard freeze. I also get the bsod sans stop code on my Windows 8.1 laptop

Thats a uh.. impressive system. Workstation of some sort im guessing? What are the specs on the windows 8.1 laptop?

edit: derp, just realised you are a steam developer for dead linger. Sorry about that, I am so blind sometimes.

I wonder what the compadibility it would be like on your machine. Im guessing you have already ran some cryengine 3 games on your machine and they worked fine?

Wow, your Graphics card alone cost more than 4x what it cost to build my system. It's weird how miscreated runs well on set-ups like mine but causes all sorts of problems for these very high end gaming rigs.

Migth be related to EAC Anti-Cheat and debugging tools, or Anti-Virus programs. What do you use?

It only BSODs on game-exit for you yes?

Critical process could mean one of your drivers or anti virus. Upload the dump file then we can see which process/driver was the one causing the issue.

There is no official Windows 10 support yet for the CryENGINE version we are using so i can't recommend using it. Be sure to update your Windows 8, Windows 7 should be fine.

+1 Not getting a bluescreen of death but my computer has to restart on exit (all services stop responding).

Yeh I gave the game another try the other day (Great progress by the way guys, game itself is awesome but please improve the game menues and server browser some). Game itself worked for quite some time, but as soon as I exit, the PC blue screened, I only saw the screen for a few seconds before the pc restart, loving the military airport/base thing I came accross, let your environment artist know s/he's doing a grand job.

A strange thing that may help you track down the issue is that the game did actually crash for me, but the crash did not produce a bsod.

The laptop specs are fairly basic tbh, Core i5 3.1Ghz, GT 740M, 8GB ram and a small 256gb ssd with a standard 1920x1080 display. The game doesn't perform so well on it but is stable.

Not sure if it was the server I was on, but there doesn't seem to be any zombies/npc's and the player count was extremely low, but exploring the environment was fun

Hi,

We're currently working on adding the support for Windows 10 Technical Preview. Sorry about the issues meanwhile, the official support should be finished very soon.

To add to what knubbe from EAC said, keep in mind that Windows 10 is just in technical preview mode and is not a released OS version. Crytek does not support it yet (the game engine we use). If you can get it to work, that's good, but we cannot support it if you have issues until Crytek releases official support for it.. Windows 10 is also not listed on the Steam store page as a supported OS version.

I get a big old red screen about 5 minutes into the game. Runs very poorly on my amd setup
