M40A5

I've played this game for 50+ hours and have yet to see or be killed by the m40a5. I've had a sniper scope before that I found inside a random house but no luck with the rifle itself or even its ammo. Where does it spawn exactly? (I spend most of my time at the airfield)

Then i'd move out of the airfield. it can spawn pretty much everywhere ( found it in a house some time ago ). Its a rare weapon though since it deals so much damage.

I found mine in a tent in brightmore near the helicopter, but I'm sure it can be anywhere. It's very rare I only seen that one and after 108 hours I've not found any ammo!

Ya I almost never find it. It spawns so randomly. Last place I found it was in a bathroom in a restaurant.

In a lower kitchen cabinet for me. Only time ever in 300+ hours.

I've found the gun, the ammo and the scope over a period of time, but I've never had all three together.
Though It's a shame you cannot use the scope alone like a monocular.

just the other day my friend found one in a garage so its not impossible but its suppose to be an ultra rare weapon

my friend's base is near Airfield, he found 4 there, usually in the watch tower. Ammo is more rare than the gun though.

oh and btw, you dont see anything when you get killed by an m40

yeah I suppose you drop dead without even noticing it but so far nobody has one-shotted me from a distance so..

There are a lot of weapon spawns at the new city. I've seen people find it and ammo there but expect resistance!

Is the AT-15 as rare as the M40A5? I've found 2 M40A5 and 1 sniper scope since I created this post but I've never seen an AT-15 in ~70hours.

AT is rare too. Wouldn't surprise me if they have the same spawn rate
