Spawn Points...

Can we please spawn ANYWHERE near our dead bodies when we die near Hayward or Clyde? EVERYTIME I die anywhere near there I respawn back near Pinecrest/Airport.... I can NEVER retrieve my body or my things. THIS is starting to really suck....

Isn't that part of the survival aspect of this game? You're not supposed to be able to respawn and grab all of you're gear back..

lol... so you think it's "normal playing" to run all the way to a city, get geared up and die to a group of people who only care about PVP, and then lose it all with no chance of getting it back? Seems a bit harsh to me...

This is by design. You're not supposed to be able to just run back to your corpse and grab all your stuff while your killer is looting his victim. That completely negates the survival aspect of the game.

I agree with this. But spawning on the other side of the map is my issue.... there are no spawn points in the newer areas.

I think this is because better guns are up north and they want you to run there and not farm it from fresh spawn area.

Anytime I died for any reason other than another player killing me, I've made it back to my body in time. I've died in Brightmoor, respawned in the very SW corner of the map and made it on time. You have to get your bearings asap then beeline it man.

At least u dont get stuck behind the invisible wall and lose ur character that way. Or get a good base on a dedicated server only to have it go offline. This is where the game fails

Several days ago I spent three hours finding car parts for a car. I did, and managed to get to the police station armory and I loaded up on weapons and ammo. I was going to take a break for an hour or so and log back in to recheck the armoury, so I drove behind the police station looking for a little spot to park the car. I drove right through the ground and sunk into the water, losing everything.

I was really, really pissed for about 3 seconds. Then I remembered they warn your ass about this before you even get into a server. I don't get too attached to any progress I've made while the game is in Alpha.

Yeah you have to laugh stuff like this off. I was raided and the raiders were mid raid when I logged on. They had taken half my gear and were on their return trip I guess, I'd secured my Base by the time they were back and they chose to run away once they'd realised I was online (cowards) lol

Anyway, they'd left their bus so I took it and went looking for a vehicle to replace it with, after an hour or so I'd got all the bits I needed and was in Haywards when I stopped to grab some food from the garage /store, got out of the bus and promptly died lol. As you can imagine I was frustrated at first but you have to laugh it off. My body and the bus were long gone by the time I got back up north...

Same thing happened to me in the city behind the police station. There are a LOT of places where cars fall through the map in the city. Always best to NOT drive through once you get a car. Also, I have over 2k hours in game... I know the map inside and out, and can run to any location FROM any location in pretty much a straight line. You still can't reach your body if you die in the city from another spawn point. But you can reach the small town before hand...

There is a reason there are no spawn points in the north. The city is supposed to be a high risk, high reward area. I fully support this. It makes the city a much more tense place to be.

And you don't get the fresh spawn spam when you end up killing a squad like you do in Pinecrest or surrounding area.
