after how long does the camping tents despawn after you place them?

You need to interact with your tent daily to keep it alive and even then it might still de-spawn randomly. Has happened and is happening to many people. So to answer your question, your tent may be gone at any time but interacting with it daily increases your chance to keep it for X days, if you're lucky.

It has been said many times that it is a good idea to damage your tent after server restart. Not sure if this actually helps. I've had tents last for about a month, and I've had tents last for a week. Just, you know... saying.

Quad, I never damaged mine and it lasted a long time. I believe the tents stick around for as long as they stick around no matter what you do. It either stays or it "poofs" on you. Very odd.

there are no set rules when it comes to the tents at present. i think we all have something that we do to "help" stop it despawning. get used to blinking and the tents gone ha

A while ago someone suggested to me to move the tent a tiny bit every day. Obviously that's a terrible "workaround" cause you'd have to empty it to pack it up only to place it again. Never done it but it has been suggested in the past.

i used to do that. the last time i did, i placed it, went inside to my crates, came back and the tent was gone. it used to make me mad but now i just laugh, i only use mine for food/water storage now : )

I never moved or damaged my tents and they didn't dissappear... In my opinion, these methods are hokus pokus like throwing salt over your shoulder.
Just swap items from your bag to the tent, vice versa and within 48hrs.

well the voodoo witch doctor who lives near me tells me it works. so i will continue to place candles around my tent, kill a chicken then beat the tents health bar to around 60%. all while dancing in my pants and gasmask. i swear this is the only way to keep your tent : )

7 days for a tent, really? if ive ever left my tent for more than 2 days without interaction its gone.
