leave it alone and it will disappear on it's own after some time.

Best food to stock (vs consuming on the move)

* EMR rations
* Cereals
* Nut Spread
* Canned Meat
* Deer / Wolf meat
* Tomato Juice

Anything else is a waste of backpack / storage space. Peas and co only restore 14% hunger, eat them on the move to stay saturated. The other food restores much more. Also, once you know how many % each type of food restores you'll also know when to eat, how long your food stock is going to last and when you will have to go out looting again.

I wish some foods would have X% chance of causing (food) poisoning. Such as raw meat, entrails and dog food. It would be a nice touch to the game.

It's like that because you can place them pretty much anywhere, not only in your base. Thus those objects need to be deleted after some time to prevent object cluttering and server lag. But yes, a permanent fireplace and drying rack in ones base would be nice.

yeh they should just confine them to a plot sign like storage and thanks for the tips on food was thinking what would be best, might have to go hunting lol

That would be one option but at the same time it would somewhat destroy setting up a hunting camp while out hiking etc. But yes, ambient wise I'd love to have a fireplace in my base. I usually put A LOT of wood in the fireplaces to keep them alive for a while. They wont get deleted as long as the fire is burning. If you fill up the inventory with stacks of 5 wood each they'll stick around for a little while.

I think the object gets deleted 15-30 minutes after the fire has died. Something like that.

they should have 2 campfire options, a base one and a temp one.
