Server Hosting: i3D.net is robbing us

Hi there,

I love this game but have stopped playing it because every server I play on for some time ends up being shut down and l lose all my stuff. If I play on the official servers I get hacked by Chinese hackers....

I would really love to host my own server for my friends and others to play on. However when i check out the pricing on i3D.net the price is 35 British Pounds or almost $60 a month Canadian!! That is just INSANE!

I messaged i3D.net and they said it is because the game isn't optimized and takes up a lot of their resources.... come on. They advertise as having the best service available. I think they are just monopolizing the game. They are the only company that offers the game so they can charge whatever they want. I think the devs should allow a couple other companies to host it as well to encourage competition and hopefully bring the price down. That will allow for greater exposure for the game! Win Win.

what? maybe in a rare occurence, but competetion almost always drives prices down, as seen (for example) with servers, minecraft server prices, arma 2 server prices, arma 3 server prices, all DECREASING with more hosting companies offering services, including sales. For an specifc example see gtxgaming, they gave free infistar (anti cheat) with arma 2 days packages when there competition did now, which can be anywhere from a 30-50$ value, same goes for with sales, I remember ages ago that fluctis hosting would offer sales of like 50% off servers for life (for specific games)

again, easyanticheat is by far one of the better anticheat systems, look at cheats for ANY major game, you will find them on easy to find on google searches, aimjunkies, aimware, ect. Miscreated will not find you any with google seach

Hey man I feel your pain so a few friends here at my shop put together some cash and we prepaid for this server for a year. I sent i3d a ticket and they set me 12 1 month invoices. ;)

So even though the game has been optimized to run better and with less resources I3D.net still has not lowered their prices. Not even by a penny..... hmmmmmmm

I just want to host my own server for my friends and I without having to take out a mortgage LOL.

I agree bud thwe prices are crazy! you should eb able ti host sessions kinda like local where only your friends from steam can join and nobody else endless on your friends list or something and be free and local hosted from your own machine thats kinda what i feel would be a game changer, specially for mini events and roleplay servers ect.
