FoM Launcher infinite update

So I just recently reinstalled the game (Best game GOTY 10/10) but i seem to have a problem with the launcher.
When I first launched the game, it download the update just fine and I could play the game. The problem appears when I boot up the game a second time.
After logging in with my account, it says "Looking for update..." indefinetely. I tried closing and opening the game again, opening it with administrator right but nothing works. The only thing that works is validating the local files, in which he will find 8 files that are corrupted and re-download them. Can anyone help me, or am I the only one with this issue? Apparrently the update is corrupting my files and wont let me open the game a second time without re-downloading these 8 files. Also there is no error message nor crash so I don't believe that there can be a log file about this issue
