Story is nice, but just a vehicle to drive the game forward. The real game is beating the game, slowly getting better at the optional challenges, and lots of leveling up in power! If you like the core gameplay, I'm continuing to play it long after I thought I would put it down. For the price, you can't beat it.

Thank you, how long did it take for you to beat the game first time?

So 'beating the game' requires you to beat the end boss around 8 times. I'ld say it took me around 6-8 runs to beat him the first time, and then I probably lost around 3 or four trying to get the other 8.

I've spent much longer post game trying to beat all of the challenges and level up everything. Currently I have 31 hours in the game, and could probably add about 8 more before its about 90% complete, where I'll probably stop.
