Lucky Dice doesn't seem to do anything?
I've used the Lucky Dice about 4 times now and the screen refreshes but none of the items actually change. Am I just not understanding what Lucky Dice does?

It's possible that you've depleted the pool enough that the items you are seeing are the only ones left.

Fun fact by the way, if you buy things from the shop and then use the dice to reroll, it refreshes everything, letting you buy powers multiple times. If you're using an artefact to farm a specific element, make sure to remove and re-equip it BEFORE doing the shop rerolls.

What pool? I only started playing this game a few days ago, I haven't even made it past the rooftops so how can I have depleted anything?
The pool of available powers. Each element has around 15-ish powerups. Many have prerequisites. If you have already chosen and fully upgraded most of the powerups from that element, or if you have chosen not to take things that are a prerequisite for other things, then you will only be offered what's left from the pool of available powers. If there are only three things left to take, then rerolling will just offer you those same three things because that's all there is.

The rooftops are the final area, so this is where it would be normal to start running low on options, especially if you are focusing on one element.

It's also possible that you just have terrible luck.

Tried lucky dice 3 more times, at the very first oppurtunity I had in the Sewers and it still changes literally nothing.

You can't say that I'm running out of options at that point. This feature is just straight up bugged, but apparently, only for me for some reason. Or maybe SteamDeck users.

Yeah, that sounds bugged. I'd spend them on shop refreshes instead, until it gets fixed.
It seems like there are sometimes when the available options are "set", they won't change. But overall, it should refresh & give you some different options to choose from. Try again in another run :)

(But yeah, generally the most profitable way to use them is to pick up multiple powers from the shop)

I have just test these myself and it seems to be working.

The way it works is a bit complicated so there are definitely good times to use them and then less optimal.

When you first get shown rewards at the end of a room, hitting re-roll will refresh that list, some rooms do have fixed lists of rewards so you might not see a change.

If you have been offered a list of turtle powers, then rerolling will offer you a new list of powers of the SAME type as before. If you have already got lots of powers of that type then it is possible you won't see new powers. Also when you first get offered a power type you won't have access to the full list of powers of that type as many require you to already have other powers of that type. Rerolling in these situations will often not do much as it's picking 4 powers out of only 5 or 6 options perhaps.

If you reroll in the shop screen, it actually refreshes the shop, So you will still see a power, healing and then some other stuff but if you previously bought something it becomes available again. If you have lots of scrap this is often considered the best way to use your re-rolls.

If you continue to have problems and really think that it's doing nothing then drop by our Discord channel and maybe we could watch stream and see if we can figure out exactly what is going on. Thanks, Tom

I've had this happen a few times. Just 20 seconds ago, I rolled for my starting draw, in the very first room. Got the same 4 options in a different order.

I've gotten proper use out of it sometimes, too.

No, I don't get them in a different order at all. I mean the lucky dice does literally nothing.

It doesn't rearrange the items, the item screen literally looks exactly the same as it did before, without fail every time I've used it.
