Easy enough to get a random online co op? Performance?

Hi, I have just under $48 AUD wallet credit and this is 41.49 AUD, so I was thinking of using it on this.

I typically do not buy new games, I wait for deep sales, but this is the publisher's only title so I have no idea what sort of discount sales strategy they will have, as there are no past titles where I can look at the history over the last couple years.

Plus, and this is the main point of the post, I thought if I jumped on the bandwagon now that I would have a much better chance in finding online games, as right now the stats seem pretty good.

Is this something I should play through a few times on my own to learn it and get upgrades or is it something that can be enjoyed with random online co op even as I am learning all the mechanics?

Is the net code good?

The best online experience I ever had was Shredder's Revenge. I don't know what back end system DotEmu are using, but I joined a random game with 5 others players and we all played from start to end, and it was so smooth, so lag free, it was like we were all in the same room. And I am on wi-fi, wi-fi 5 at the time!

Is this anywhere near as smooth as that for online? I mean I would say that besides some FPS with massive online presence, I have never had an experience as smooth as Shredder's Revenge when it comes to arcade style brawlers that need really responsive input.

Have you all found it easy to find games?

SOR4 died off so quickly, so I don't want to miss out in playing with others I guess. Is it fun in single player?

my personal expierence with the online has been smooth and a total blast.
Managed to get passed a few cool bosses that i wont spoil any further.
i do recommend doing a run or 4 by yourself, so you can find the Turtle that fits you most.
And, with each run you earn upgrades, so you wont be a total snowflake to your squad when you enter the online.
Because the story mode is challenging and i havent been able to beat it yet.
