There is so many good roguelites for half of that.
- mobile phone port
- more than 1h of gameplay (means 2h max)
- plenty of *useless* content (you could beat the demo -which was 1/2 of the full game- in 15-20 minutes just with the basic attacks if you have ever dashed in a top-down hack & slash game before)
- more content is coming (see 30 more minutes of game), but it will cost you $15 more.
this game is twice as cheap as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed or Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind, and also cheaper than G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra. i consider each of these games to be way too expensive.
so i think youre exaggerating.
by your logic the game costs the same as Hades and Hades 2, so one would be really stupid not getting those instead.
I remember watching this review from Mr Matty Plays, it convinced me to get the switch one. I am glad it's now on here, because it can feel like it's dropping to 15 fps on there lol.
Yeah, this is reminding me of some criticism Shredder's Revenge had too. Different genre, but similar situations. The length of both beat-em-ups and roguelikes are usually short, but they're highly replayable.
I just left a positive review, noting that the price seems fair considering 1) the quality of the game, 2) the replayability, and 3) the license must be expensive. We don't get many TMNT games, especially great ones like this, so you guys get my support.
High five to you and your team, JuJu! Thanks for the excellent game.
That's not the worst way to guage how much value you get out of a game, as long as you're having fun the entire time. For games likes this, if you beat a game the first time through, and have no desire to replay it again, then I get why people would be genuinely disappointed, because you only did get 1-2 hours of fun for 40$.
For a game like this, or multiplayer focused games like fighting games, you have to measure it by the total time spent playing the game, rather than how long it took to beat the campaign/arcade the first time through.
25€ is a lot of money to invest in just one game, when you can buy multiple games that are probably higher quality than this licensed game here for the same 25€. I've got recommendations for days outside of First Person Shooters, Third Person Shooters, RTS, Visual Novels, and Sports games.
If you want a game similar to TMNT SF here, you could try Ember Knights, it's a rogue like that supports 4 player local, and you can play with up to 4 people online too. Its full price is 20$ USD, and it's usually on sale for 10$.
